Privacy
Last updated 24 October 2026
The short version: no accounts, no adverts, no cookies and nothing that follows you around the web. If you sign up, we keep your email address to tell you when Astral Seed is out, and nothing else. We count visits anonymously.
Who we are
Kardashev Garden. Contact: [email protected].
The email sign-up
If you sign up, we store your email address, the time you signed up, the wording you agreed to, which page you signed up on and your country (worked out from your connection, not your exact location). We use it only to email you when Astral Seed is out, from a mailing service we'll name in that email.
We rely on your consent to do this. You can withdraw it any time: use the unsubscribe link in our email, or write to us, and we'll delete your address. We keep your address until you unsubscribe, or for at most 12 months after Astral Seed comes out, whichever is first, then delete it.
To stop automated spam, the sign-up form uses Cloudflare Turnstile, which looks at technical signals from your browser to tell people from bots. It doesn't use cookies to track you. A visitor's connection is also counted briefly to limit repeated attempts; we keep only a scrambled form of it, for an hour at most.
Running the website
The site is hosted by Cloudflare, which sees your IP address to deliver the pages. The sign-up list is stored with Cloudflare too. Cloudflare is a US company, so this can mean your data is handled in the US, under the safeguards UK data protection law requires. We don't load anything from other companies: no web fonts, no adverts, no social media widgets.
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits. It tells us which pages were viewed, what brought people here, and roughly which country and type of device they used. It doesn't use cookies or recognise you, and we only see totals.
Emailing us
If you write to us, we use your email address only to reply.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask what we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it: email [email protected]. If you're unhappy with how we've handled it, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
